This policy explains what personal data we collect when you sign up for the AlpiPow pre-order waitlist, why we collect it, who it's shared with, and what your rights are. We keep it to a minimum: your email address, plus the limited technical data described below.
Who's the controller
AlpiPow is currently run by Ivan Smirnov and Andrii Huba as private individuals, ahead of formal company registration. Until AlpiPow is incorporated, Ivan Smirnov and Andrii Huba act as joint data controllers for the pre-order list. This section will be updated with our registered company details once incorporation is complete.

What we collect and why
The email address you submit through the pre-order form, and only if you tick the consent checkbox.
Purpose: to send you a welcome email, and later to let you know when pre-orders open and about the AlpiPow launch. We don't use it for anything else, and we never sell, rent, or share it for anyone else's marketing.
Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by ticking the checkbox on the form.
Data we collect automatically
When you use the sign-up form, we and our providers also process a small amount of technical data:
Your IP address and the date and time of sign-up are recorded by MailerLite alongside your email, so we can demonstrate that you gave consent — GDPR requires us to be able to show this (Article 7(1)).
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in complying with that accountability obligation (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Your IP address is processed momentarily by the form's anti-spam rate limiter to stop abuse and automated sign-ups. It's held only briefly and isn't used to identify you.

Our hosting provider records standard server logs (including IP addresses) for security and reliability, as is normal for any website.
Email open and click tracking
When we send you an email, MailerLite may record whether you opened it and whether you clicked any links, to help us understand whether our updates are useful. We keep this to a minimum and never use it to make automated decisions about you. If you'd rather we didn't track this, email [email protected] and we'll turn it off for you.
Where it's stored
Your email is stored in MailerLite, our email marketing provider, which acts as our data processor under a data processing agreement. Where personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA — for example to MailerLite's sub-processors — this takes place under standard contractual clauses (SCCs) or an equivalent safeguard recognised under GDPR.
How long we keep it
We keep your email until you unsubscribe or until we no longer need it for the pre-order campaign — whichever comes first. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time. Records that show you consented (such as the sign-up IP and timestamp) are kept only as long as needed to demonstrate compliance, then deleted.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, or export your data, restrict or object to its processing, and withdraw consent at any time (which won't affect anything done before the withdrawal). Reach out to [email protected] for any of this. You can also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority — in Poland, the UODO (Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych).
No automated decision-making
We don't make any decisions about you by solely automated means, and we don't carry out profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects (Article 22 GDPR).
Age
The AlpiPow waitlist isn't intended for children. Please don't sign up if you're under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16 — if you believe a minor has signed up, email [email protected] and we'll delete it.
Unsubscribing
Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also just email [email protected].
Cookies & local storage
The only thing we store in your browser is your EN/PL language choice (localStorage key alpipow_lang), which is needed to remember your language and isn't used for tracking. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies. (The open/click tracking described above happens inside emails, not on this website.)
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, once AlpiPow is incorporated, or if our providers change. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version. If we make a significant change, we'll let waitlist subscribers know by email.
